Taste wines from Comanche Cellars, Cima Collina, Lepe Cellars, and Sinecure Wines on thr first Saturday of each month.

Marina, Ca, May 25, 2016 – A handful of local Monterey County vintners have hoisted up their warehouse doors to invite guests to taste and sample their very limited production wines, straight from the source of production and hands of the winemakers. The Urban Wine Row, a collaboration of Comanche Cellars, Cima Collina, Lepe Cellars, and Sinecure Wines, are located conveniently off of Highway One in Marina Business Park, home to the wineries’ warehouse winemaking facilities. The Urban Wine Row will offer Highway One travelers and locals the opportunity to taste local Monterey County wines on Saturdays from noon to 5pm, beginning with the kick off opening on July 2, 2016.

Cima Collina has been producing wine in the Marina warehouse location since its first release back in 2005, and was more recently joined by Comanche Cellars and Sinecure Wine in 2014, we have added a fourth great winery, Lepe Cellars. Each brand represents small lot, hand crafted wines with very limited distribution, primarily produced from local Monterey County fruit. All of our brands explore new and interesting varietals of the region, including Tempranillo, Grenache, Riesling and Mourvedre, in addition to the traditional, highly acclaimed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The low key wine tasting experience will give these wineries the chance to showcase their products in a very unassuming atmosphere, where the tasting is truly about the wines. “With a small production, it is often hard to get in front of the consumer. This is a great way to share our story, process and most current vintages,” comments Paul Gokey, owner/winemaker of Sinecure Wine. “Most of our customers are only able to enjoy our wines when we pour at local events. This is a much more personal experience. We are thrilled to be a part of it,” adds Michael Simmons, owner/winemaker of Comanche Cellars.

The location is key, only minutes from the Pacific Coast Highway and the gateway to the Monterey Peninsula. “It’s a perfect stop for visitors coming down for the weekend, to taste a bit of Monterey wine before continuing on to other activities,” comments Annette Hoff Danzer, Winemaker at Cima Collina. “We recently had our Staves & Steel event on site, and visitors were excited to explore a new hidden gem, tucked away in the business section of Marina.”

The Urban Wine Row will be open Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm. We kicked off this adventure Saturday, July 2, 2016. Tastings are $15 per person, and include nine tastes at any combination of our group of winerys. Picnic facilities are available. Located at: Urban Wine Row, Marina Business Park, 3344 Paul Davis Drive, Marina, Ca 93933.
